Speaking Engagements
In January 2011, my wife and I were invited to go out to Colorado. We were flown out from Ohio to be part of a sermon: "Courageous Generosity" by Pastor Scott Park (far left). We flew in on the day of the 6 month anniversary of my surgery and the sermon was on the 6 month anniversary of my brothers (Tony Lewis) surgery. It was also the first time that I met Jay Julian (center). He is the alteruistic donor that gave up his kidney to a complete stranger, expecting nothing in return. Knowing that he may never know who received his kidney. Little did he know that his kidney was the rarest of sorts and that I would need it.
In January of 2010 while I faced my defining moment, who knew that 6 states away a stranger would face his. Paralelled in time and destined to come together. Jay would watch a movie that would change him forever. He suddenly felt lead that someone out there needed his kidney. He felt very strongly about this, so he began to go through all the testing. All of this for a random act of courageous sacrifice to save that person that may need it... Since that time, I have shared my testimonial message at various Churches, Conferences, and other Group Events.
